Unique Hand-made Mushroom Shaped Necklaces
Shroomz, Etc. is excited to bring you a unique, hand-made mushroom necklace in a variety of decorative patterns. I started with my classic Twizted Smileys and Glowing Starz, and continued to explore cool new hand-crafted patterns.
Check out my new Daisy Daze, Checkered Dreamz, and Marble Swirlz designs too. I hope to eventually branch out into new styles beyond these original mushroom shapes and basic color patterns.
I started making these necklaces back in 1992 during a time in my life when I used to do hair-wraps for vacationers in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. For those of you who remember me, please feel free to write. I'd love to reconnect after all of these years :)
My small business allowed me to meet many thousands of people who were on vacation in the summers of 1992 through 1995. I had several nicknames during that time, including; "Billy The Hair Wrap Guy", "Billy The Kid", "Billy WEirD", and for those who knew me well, my real name is "Billy McDaniel".

When I first started working with FIMO clay, I was fairly limited on what I could do with it. There was no World Wide Web, or YouTube to take instructions from, and I had no mentor. I bought blocks of colored clay, and through trial and error, figured out how it's done. After some time, I started making some pretty cool bead designs, and began to sell them along with my hair wraps.
People really seemed to enjoy my hand-made beads, so I started coming up with new shapes, sizes, and patterns. I tried many things, but found that the #1 best seller was my "Shroom" beads.
It wasn't long before I decided to start making necklaces instead of beads, and discovered a market for my new found talents.
Since that time in my life, I have done many other awesome things. My decision to open up this site was not to become rich. I still get emails, and even letters from people asking if I still make these necklaces. A lot of people from all over the United States still have their original necklace and inquire about buying new ones, or want to know if I have any new designs. This website should hopefully provide a resource for those of you who are looking, and may also give me the inspiration I need to continue the legacy that I started over a decade ago.
